Atlanta-based Techstars Impact Powered by Cox Enterprises is a new program focused on for-profit companies making a positive impact on underrepresented groups, underserved communities, and environmental sustainability. The new accelerator kicks-off this months, and has recently announced the 10 impact startups, who are joining its first cohort. Among them are 3 startups, we believe you, as a fellow femtech enthusiast, should pay special attention to!
- Rif Care: A first-of-its-kind period brand that uses products made of regenerative materials to reduce the carbon footprint of period products.
- The LO: An online platform to create a more connected community for queer women.
- xHood: A safe space for Black and queer parents to create connections and build support systems for themselves and their families.
Other participating startups include Accelerated Equity Insights, Branch Politics, ECGO, Good Agriculture, HumanKind Homes, Stratos, and TARA.
Tim Dorr, Managing Director of both Techstars Atlanta and the new Techstars Impact accelerator shares: “For my first class of Techstars Impact as managing director, I wanted to bring together a wide range of companies focused on making a positive impact on underrepresented groups, underserved communities, and environmental sustainability. Bringing together a well-rounded group of high-quality founders increases our chances of solving some of the world’s biggest challenges and I’m excited to see the impact of their work out in the world.”
Techstars Impact kicks off this month. Demo Day is planned for April 13, 2023.
