Medichecks, a UK-based digital diagnostics company, has acquired My Menopause Centre, a specialist menopause health platform and clinic. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
My Menopause Centre was co-founded in 2021 by Helen Normoyle and Dr. Clare Spencer. The platform has seen thousands of patients in its clinic, with over 100,000 using its Menopause Questionnaire. According to the company, it is the only menopause clinic with an overall “Outstanding” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The acquisition follows Medichecks’ earlier acquisition of Leger Clinic, creating a hormone health offering for both women and men across the UK.
“At Medichecks, our mission is to make healthcare more accessible, evidence-based and patient-centred,” said Helen Marsden, co-founder of Medichecks. “Helen and Clare have built an outstanding, clinically credible platform that is transforming menopause care for women across the UK.”
Helen Normoyle, co-founder and CEO of My Menopause Centre, said: “Our mission has always been to make menopause care compassionate, accessible and grounded in evidence. Medichecks shares that vision. Their digital platform, commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care make them the ideal partner to take My Menopause Centre into its next chapter.”
Dr. Clare Spencer, co-founder and Clinical Director of My Menopause Centre, added: “Their platform will enable the clinic to scale further and reach many more women during what can be a challenging time of life.”
Leadership of My Menopause Centre will transition to Medichecks’ executive team as part of the acquisition. Medichecks says it has helped more than 500,000 people with home blood testing since 2001, delivering over 7.5 million test results.
