Kaia Health has announced an expansion of its Women’s Health Program to include targeted pelvic floor therapy and musculoskeletal (MSK) support, addressing a significant gap in women’s healthcare. The digital health platform’s enhanced program aims to make specialized care more accessible to millions of women suffering from pelvic floor disorders, postpartum recovery issues, and menopause-related pain.
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), nearly one in four U.S. women—over 24 million—live with pelvic floor disorders that cause chronic pain, discomfort, and mobility issues. For women over 60, that number increases to nearly half of the population. Despite these high numbers, many women struggle to access specialized care for these conditions.
“Women’s MSK health is deeply interconnected—issues like pelvic pain, back pain, and menopause-related changes don’t exist in isolation,” said Gemma Wenstrom, COO at Kaia Health. “By expanding our Women’s Health Program, we’re making it easier for women to get the care they need—on their own schedule and in a way that fits into their lives.”
The expanded program offers women tailored, evidence-based exercises, self-assessments, and digital coaching to help rebuild strength, improve mobility, and regain confidence in their daily activities. Developed in collaboration with OBGYNs, physical therapists, and women’s health experts, the program provides comprehensive support for conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery.
As part of this initiative, Kaia Health has partnered with Vira Health, a leader in menopause care, to integrate menopause-specific education alongside pelvic floor therapy. This collaboration ensures women experiencing hormonal changes receive appropriate support for maintaining strength and mobility.
“Women experience 16 symptoms on average during menopause,” said Andrea Berchowitz, Vira Health co-founder and CEO. “Pelvic floor disorders, joint pain, stiffness, and muscle weakness are common and often women are suffering in silence. We are passionate about widening access to quality menopause care. By working with Kaia Health, women can find the right resources to stay strong and mobile at every stage of life.”
Kaia Health’s science-backed approach to women’s MSK health includes pelvic floor therapy, menopause-specific education and support, personal coaching, self-assessments to personalize therapy plans, and guided exercises designed to address the root causes of pain and dysfunction.
The company, which covers nearly 65 million lives globally, partners with health plans, employers, and providers to deliver clinically validated treatments. Through this expansion, Kaia Health aims to provide more women with the tools to manage pain, rebuild strength, and take control of their health through their digital platform.
