The Associate Director, Innovation Programs & Implementation is responsible for supporting the Go-to-Market Transformation, US Established Brands, and Modern Partnerships pillars within the Commercial Innovation & US Established Brands organization. This person will report directly to the Executive Director, Head of Commercial Innovation & US Established brands, and will support the delivery and execution of a long-term innovation strategy, the implementation and execution of strategic partnerships, as well as marketing execution for the US Established Brands portfolio, supporting both the current portfolio and expansion.

The focus of the Go-to-Market Transformation & Strategic Partnerships function is to ensure the US Commercial business is evolving for the future by identifying new commercial capabilities and programs to stay ahead of market trends. In supporting both functions, the Associate Director, Innovation Programs & Implementation will cross-functionally collaborate across the product teams and work to execute and manage programs including the execution of new and optimization of current solutions and capabilities to transform the US Commercial business.

In regards to the US Established Brands business, the Associate Director will not only aid the Director, US Established Brands & Modern Partnerships in the daily management and marketing execution of this mature portfolio of products, but will also be responsible for the implementation and execution of groundbreaking, innovative new strategies to drive incremental revenue and unique collaborations, The ideal candidate will come with a blend of financial acumen and marketing execution experience.

Consistent with the Organon Corporate Values, this role is responsible for ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration, focusing on acceleration and transformation of the commercial business in a compliant way. The Associate Director, Innovation Programs & Implementation will have responsibility for partnering across the US commercial organization, global colleagues, and business partners, to collaboratively plan and execute strategic initiatives.  

This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to build a new, leading bio-pharmaceutical company, a comprehensive understanding of market structure, dynamics and key and emerging players. It requires the ability to think outside the box, identify key business opportunities, assess and measure risk in collaboration with appropriate key functions, and implement and scale rapidly in a compliant manner.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director, Innovation Strategy & Transformation in evolving the go-to-market model, implementing test-and-learn, innovative solutions that look to solve real business problems.
  • Support in the maintenance of exceptional partner relationships with strategic partner stakeholders, and support the Director, US Established Brands & Modern Partnerships in designing and executing initiatives to develop, manage and drive incremental revenue growth and/or to improve the customer experience .
  • Aid the Director, US Established Brands & Modern Partnerships in the daily management and marketing execution of this mature portfolio of products.
  • Implement and execute groundbreaking, innovative new strategies to drive incremental revenue and unique collaborations, as outlined in the vision set forth by the Director, US Established Brands & Modern Partnerships and the Executive Director, Head of Commercial Innovation & US Established Brands.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, adopting a customer-centric focus.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to improve data-driven decision making for evaluation of new tools, approaches, pilot programs, etc.
  • Proactively stay away from innovative internal and external tactics and tools.
  • Assist in the management of innovation vendor(s) and deliver workshops, white papers, MVPs/pilots, and other materials.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: BA/BSC University degree
  • Preferred: MBA/High Business degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in roles that require multi-tasking and executing across multiple functions. 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in the healthcare industry and/or other relevant industries (consumer, medical devices, digital health).
  • Proven experience developing, measuring, and scaling pilot programs and test-and-learn initiatives.
  • Experience with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory reviews and approval processes for pharmaceutical brand marketing material.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience delivering high-visibility, long-term, and/or moonshot initiatives.
  • Experience implementing non-traditional partner collaborations with startups, tech companies, etc.
  • Pharmaceutical and vendor contracting experience a plus.
