ABOUT JUNO BIO

At Juno Bio, we’re on a mission to close the gender health gap. There are over 30 women’s health conditions associated with the vaginal microbiome that affect billions of women each year – from recurrent infections through to infertility – and yet these are poorly characterised, badly diagnosed and inadequately treated. We’re pioneering the standard of care women deserve by decoding the vaginal microbiome using published research, our own clinical studies and direct engagement. Founded in 2018 by Hana Janebdar and Dr Leighton Turner, we’re a tightly knit team of world-class biologists and machine learning scientists backed by Illumina.

  • An understanding of metagenomics and NGS protocols (e.g. DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing)
  • Ability to handle, assemble and fulfill orders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and investigative abilities
  • Capacity to perform your duties diligently and very strong attention to detail
  • Excited by the opportunity to help us transform women’s health

Nice to have:

  • Previous laboratory experience carrying out parts of NGS protocols
  • Familiar with shipping label software such as Shippo and/or ability to learn how to use similar software

  • You communicate in a respectful manner and are team oriented

Benefits

  • Time commitment: Part-time, 16 hours per week spread over Monday – Saturday between 9 am – 5 pm PST
  • Compensation: $20 per hour
