Director of Business Development

We’re long overdue for a new maternity care experience. Here at Oula, we believe everyone deserves personalized and evidence-based care for their pregnancies. And that by delivering a better patient experience, we can improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary intervention. With incredible direct-to-consumer demand for Oula’s care model, we are looking to grow rapidly through enterprise partnerships. We are hiring a Director of Business Development to spearhead telling our story to payor, provider and other channel partners and crafting revenue generating contracts that reward us for delivering a differentiated care model.

This is a benefits-eligible position and the base salary range is $160,000-$180,000 annually as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities

Help shape Oula’s enterprise strategy in existing and new business areas

Create assets to support business development activities (pricing model, pitch decks, etc)

Develop pricing proposals in collaboration with finance and support contract negotiations

Navigate clients from initial pitch through the on-boarding process including contracting

Work collaboratively with product and clinical teams to iterate on product and program in response to market learnings

Manage overall status of business development pipeline

You are the perfect candidate if:

You have 6+ years of experience in roles where you have owned end-to-end business development, ideally pitching directly to hospitals and/or insurers

You are a relationship builder and enjoy forging meaningful bonds across all levels of an organization

You have the ability to work cross functionally to tie market learnings back to strategy, product, and operations

You thrive in ambiguity, and seek out opportunities to dive into unfamiliar challenges, drive towards outcomes, and shape strategy

Preferred Qualifications

MBA preferred

Familiarity with health care regulations and value-based care models, accountable care, and population health management

Our modern maternity center combines the best of obstetrics and midwifery care to deliver a more evidence-based and personalized pregnancy experience. From our collaborative medical team, welcoming clinic, and remote care platform, we are setting a new standard for pregnancy that unifies modern medicine and human intuition.
