ROLE SUMMARY
We are hiring a Lead Biostatistican as part of our clinical science group at Everlywell. This position will be responsible for scientific contributions to study design, analysis plans and conducting analyses for our internal and external clinical research programs. This individual will oversee the successful day-to-day execution of clinical research analyses from the protocol concept and design, development and execution of analysis plans, through to clinical study reporting all while ensuring timely completion of study deliverables.
Reporting directly to the Head of Clinical Science, you will work closely with scientific project leads and study investigators to design research and generate clinical evidence for our health and wellness products. The candidate will work in a fast paced environment, be scientifically curious, be proactive in seeking and utilizing the resources available to effectively problem solve, have the ability to be flexible while ensuring the clinical studies and analyses are executed with the highest quality and rigor, and be able to thoughtfully develop analyses for both mechanistic and health outcomes-directed clinical research projects. The position requires exceptional analytical skills, solid scientific background, a high level of professionalism, and enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of a rapidly growing area of health management.

What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement statistical techniques and analysis plans for clinical research and outcome data to support personalized health products on the basis of consumer test results and health data profiles.
- Contribute to, and lead where appropriate, the writing of internal reports and scientific publications in the areas of methods development and clinical research.
- Solicit feedback on analysis plans and other drafted items from relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate study results and interpretation within Everlywell and to external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Data Science teams on clinical science research projects.
- Analyze both clinical trial and Real World Data (RWD) in the context of evaluating areas such as efficacy and safety, clinical utility, health economics and health outcomes.
- Prepare, review, and manage study related plans and documents including: statistical analysis plans, data management plans, and required SOPs with minimal supervision.
- Participate as knowledge expert in EDC set-up by contributing to case report form design, user acceptance testing, completion guideline development, database development and other related activities.
- Work cross functionally with other departments such as Legal, Data Management, Laboratory Operations, and Finance to support Clinical Science initiatives.
Your Education & Experience:
- PhD in Statistics or a related field with significant quantitative focus. (Master’s level with 5+ years experience minimum)
- Knowledge of and experience with:
- Epidemiology, including causal inference methods for observational real-world data (RWD) and real world evidence (RWE) generation.
- Clinical trial research using pre-specified statistical analysis approaches.
- Experience with programming statistical software and working with various database structures, including fluency in one or several scripting languages (Python, Perl) and/or programming languages (R, SAS).
- Knowledge of clinical database design and architecture and best practices related to each.
- Capacity for independent thinking and ability to make decisions based upon sound principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in the areas of presentation and writing.
- Technical proficiency, creativity, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to understand the limitations of various data sources.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, including both long-term and short-term projects.
- Understanding of HIPAA GCP and importance of privacy of patient data.
