Corner Health, a technology-enabled provider network,, secured $32.5 million in seed and Series A funding to expand nurse practitioner-owned primary care practices. Led by Oak HC/FT with participation from First Round Capital and Zigg Capital, the round will support team growth, technology enhancements, and new locations.

Operating 70+ offices across Arizona and Washington, Corner facilitated more than 35,000 patient visits last year. Eliminating many specialist referrals, 40% of visits include services like pap smears, skin procedures, and injury and joint care.

With more than 100 million Americans unable to access primary care, Corner aims to replace rushed appointments with longer, relationship-driven care. The model is particularly relevant for women, who use healthcare services at higher rates than men.

“Via Corner Health’s network, the most common word that appears in patient reviews is ‘listen,’” said Lava Sunder, co-founder and CEO of Corner Health. “When providers have more time, patients feel heard.”

Behind the scenes, Corner’s AI-powered operating system, Cora, automates scheduling, patient communications, billing, lab orders, referrals, and prior authorizations, reducing administrative overhead. While many healthcare companies are using AI to increase patient throughput, Corner is using it to create more time for care.

“Our providers can see fewer patients, spend 2-3x more time with each one, and still build thriving independent practices,” said Anne Gifford, co-founder and COO of Corner Health.
