Bummed has launched a telehealth platform focused on anorectal care, offering treatment for hemorrhoids, constipation, anal fissures, and related conditions. The company provides prescription treatments including custom-compounded creams and medications.

Up to 75% of Americans will experience hemorrhoids, and up to 85% of pregnant women experience hemorrhoids in their third trimester. Traditional care through gastroenterologists or colorectal surgeons can take over two months to access, with out-of-pocket costs exceeding $200 even with insurance.

The platform offers five prescription products: Rapid Relief Hemorrhoid & Fissure Cream for fast-acting treatment, Long-Acting Hemorrhoid & Fissure Cream designed for long-term healing and safe for pregnant people, Sensitive Care Hemorrhoid & Fissure Cream for gentle long-term relief, Anti-Itch Pruritus Ani Cream for targeted relief, and a daily constipation medication.

Bummed focuses particularly on pregnant people, who experience anorectal conditions due to hormonal changes, uterine weight, diet changes, iron supplements, and increased inactivity. The company works with OBGYNs, colorectal surgeons, and gastroenterologists to develop safe, effective medications for pregnant people.

The company was founded by Jennifer Dwork, who serves as CEO, and Rebecca Monahan, who serves as COO. Both have experience in digital health. Dr. Carmen Fong, a colorectal surgeon double-board certified in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery, serves as Chief Medical Officer. The medical advisory board includes gastroenterologists and OBGYNs.
