Miami-based digital behavioral health startup BeMe Health has secured over $12 million in additional capital to further its mission of supporting teen mental health. This funding precedes the company’s planned Series A financing round. The investment round was led by Flare Capital and Polaris Partners, with additional contributions from Hesperis Capital, Fiore Ventures, BCBS of Kansas, and the California Health Care Foundation. The new funding will enable BeMe to enhance its digital platform, expand its reach, and continue innovating within the field of youth behavioral healthcare.

BeMe Health’s CEO and Co-Founder, Dr. Nicoletta Tessler, expressed her gratitude for the continued support from investors. “These investments allow us to provide the best possible support for teens struggling with mental health issues. We are committed to making a positive impact and transforming the landscape of youth behavioral healthcare,” she said.

BeMe Health’s platform is designed to meet teens where they are, providing around-the-clock accessibility and a range of interactive tools that promote mental well-being. The platform offers mood reflection activities, skill-building exercises, and evidence-based assessments, all of which are tailored to support teens in maintaining their mental health. Personalized support is a key component of BeMe’s approach, with the platform offering one-on-one coaching, clinical linkage, and customized interventions. In times of crisis, BeMe ensures that immediate help is available through its 24/7 crisis support feature.

The importance of addressing mental health in teens and young adults has never been more critical. Steve Smitherman, President of the Indiana Market at CareSource, highlighted the effectiveness of BeMe’s approach, saying, “As a health plan committed to the holistic care of our members, we know teen and young adult well-being can’t be an afterthought. BeMe’s laser-light focus on youth mental health – using an evidence-based, digital-first approach – meets users where they are, providing equitable access to support. Their engagement of youth has been remarkable.”
