Medtech company ASPIVIX has announced a new partnership with Tia, the U.S. based women’s health clinic network, to enhance the IUD insertion experience. This collaboration will introduce ASPIVIX’s Carevix, a device designed to reduce pain during IUD insertions, at nine Tia clinics located in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Scottsdale.

The partnership reflects a shared mission between ASPIVIX and Tia to prioritize women’s health needs and improve the quality of care in gynecology. Carevix is positioned as an alternative to the traditional cervical tenaculum, offering a more comfortable experience during transcervical procedures.

“At Tia, we prioritize listening to women and addressing their needs. We know that IUD insertions can be a painful experience, and we’ve heard women’s frustrations about their pain being dismissed or minimized. That’s why we’re excited to partner with ASPIVIX as part of their Ambassador Program to offer Carevix, a breakthrough device that reduces pain during IUD insertions,” said Devon Klauck, WHNP, Senior Director, Clinical Product at Tia. “By integrating Carevix alongside our existing pain management options, we are committed to providing a more comfortable and compassionate experience for our patients.”

Carevix was FDA-approved earlier this year, and clinical data presented at the 2024 American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) conference showed its potential in improving patient outcomes during gynecological procedures. This partnership marks ASPIVIX’s continued expansion into the U.S. market, following similar collaborations with other healthcare institutions.

“With the CDC urging physicians to better manage pain during IUD procedures, our partnership with Tia represents a victory for women advocating for better care. It’s an important step for ASPIVIX as we continue to align our patient-centric solution,” said Ikram Guerd, General Manager US of ASPIVIX. “Tia joins University hospitals already using Carevix, including IU Health School of Medicine and Columbia University, allowing ASPIVIX to expand our reach in the U.S. market with the right partner.”

Through this partnership, both companies aim to set a new standard for patient care in women’s health, particularly in IUD procedures. By making Carevix more accessible, Tia and ASPIVIX are addressing long-standing concerns about pain management and empowering women to have a better healthcare experience.
