DotLab is a personalized medicine company focused on women’s health and is starting with the development of a cutting-edge molecular diagnostic test for endometriosis. Ten percent of women of child-bearing age suffer from this debilitating disease, which takes an average of a decade to diagnose. We’re looking to change that.
We’re hiring a Business Development leader to drive and execute strategic partnerships. While much of the approach to endometriosis is marred by complexity and misinformation, we’re looking for someone who is excited to significantly improve the journey and make a lasting impact in women’s health. The ideal candidate is excited to build lasting partnerships and ensure this potentially life-changing test reaches the women who need it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop DotLab’s strategies for partnering with external organizations (e.g., pharma partners, distributors) and lead proposal development, term sheet generation, negotiations, and relationship management
- Own and drive results for DotLab’s biopharma partnership business
- Generate leads at varying levels within pharmaceutical companies to drive near-term and long-term partnership opportunities, and cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of partnerships and deal structures
- Source international distribution opportunities that drive product growth in international markets
- Evaluate and implement phlebotomy solutions (e.g. reference lab and/or mobile phlebotomy agreements) to ensure broad access to DotLab’s products
- Represent DotLab’s value proposition to external partners, leveraging internal resources from Medical Affairs and R&D
- Source and assess product portfolio expansion opportunities with cross-functional partners
- Build alliance management processes and implement governance structures once contracts are in place
- Report to the CEO
REQUIREMENTS
- Business development executive in diagnostics or biopharma with startup experience
- Able to deep-dive into the science of DotLab’s technical products in order to communicate with external stakeholders at the right level of detail
- Proven track record of sourcing partnerships, negotiating contracts, and finalizing deals
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Preference for candidates located in SF Bay Area or CT
