Mahmee, a maternal and pediatric telehealth and care coordination platform, is seeking a Mental and Behavioral Health Program Lead who will collaborate with other program leads across the continuum of maternity care to design impactful content, product and service experiences for new and expecting mothers. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer of the company, the right candidate for this role will be an experienced mental/behavioral health practitioner and program designer who is excited to work alongside a team of technologists, clinicians, and healthcare policy professionals to build innovative models of care for new and expecting mothers. A willingness to build from scratch, collaborate with peers, be curious about what is possible, and to center mothers’ experiences in their own course of care are the keys to success in this role.
This role requires someone who is first and foremost an excellent project manager and team coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position are to 1) contribute to the design of a comprehensive model of maternity healthcare, 2) oversee and participate in the creation of leading mental health-related educational content and resources for mothers and their providers, and 3) provide day-to-day program management of Mahmee’s mental/behavioral health services.
This is a full-time role. Remote working is welcome, but Los Angeles-based candidates are preferred. An active license to practice in California is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes salary plus stock options. Medical, dental and vision benefits are included.
Responsibilities:

- Selects, trains, and provides administrative and clinical supervision for all mental and behavioral health programs staff, in accord with their clinical activities and required clinical privileges and credentials.
- Performs chart reviews, trainings/assessments, and develops skill-building opportunities for Mahmee Network providers
- Leads and participates in the development and implementation of mental and behavioral health treatment plans, evidence-based articles and videos, guidance materials for providers, and protocols for the company.
- Works closely with other program leads on the general management of policy development, program planning, coordination and evaluation of policies, organizational changes, and new programs. Participates in the administrative and managerial work planning, product development, performance analysis, and coordination of Mahmee platform services and user experiences.
- Participates in the development of budget requests; monitors expenditures according to budget allocations/appropriations; recommends and/or initiates cost-saving measures.
- Reviews and/or revises mental health program standards to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, accreditation, and certification standards including HIPAA.
- Organizes the schedule and participates in the delivery of support groups, classes, and individual consultations

Qualifications:

- PHD, Psy.D, MSW, LMFT, LPC or professional degree in related field and commensurate experience
- Active CA license to practice
- At least four years mental health counseling experience
- Specialty degree/certification in maternal mental health, or extensive practical experience in the field
- Proven track record developing mental and behavioral health programs
- Comfortable providing virtual/telehealth care; open to learning and using new technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; able to understand a problem and imagine multiple solutions to it
- Ability to provide evening and weekend consultation and support if needed
