We are now looking for a DFx Engineer to join our Mechanics team in Oulu to define and develop manufacturing and assembly processes for Oura and lead the implementation actions to our final assembly factories, as well as to our mechanical enclosures supply base. In this role, you will work closely with our operations team to ensure that our manufacturing and final assembly processes create products that meet all functional and operational requirements.
What You will do:
- Lead our Mechanics DFM work at Oura
- Look over all Oura product programs in DFM/DFA field and bring knowledge of manufacturability from concept creation to mass production
- Create and drive detailed DFA documentation for Oura products
- Work with Oura supply base in DFM area to ensure that our parts are manufactured and assembled according to all Oura functional & dimensional requirements
- Develop and fine-tune our manufacturing and assembly methods to continuously improve our products.
We would love to have you on our team, if You have:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturability or in mechanics design
- Experience in working with final assembly factories and mechanical enclosures supply base
- Understanding of the essential connections between mechanics design, manufacturing processes, quality, scalability and manufacturing efficiency
- Capability to execute DFx methods and processes from plans to implementation at Oura final assembly factories and mechanical enclosures supply base
- Experience in manufacturability of high volume hand held and/or consumer products
- Ability to present results in a clear and effective manner
- Excellent team working skills and an ability to communicate effectively both with internal and external stakeholders in a multinational environment
- Systematic and innovative approach to problem solving and a passion for continuous improvement
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field)
