ABOUT THE ROLE + TEAM

As Product Manager at Pexxi it will be your job to guide the direction of our offering, working as part of a cross functional team alongside developers and designers we’re data driven and favour lean methodologies.
This role reports to the CEO and Co-Founder of Pexxi and is the first product management hire on the team. A key part of the role will be formalising product management best practices and streamlining the process of taking feedback and delivering compelling features. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a new product that has the potential to impact millions of women’s lives. The Pexxi team is small (currently 12 and growing), but with global reach. In this role, you’ll be expected to work fluidly across time zones and geographies and may manage a team, or team members, in Europe. It will be important that you have a track record launching core products and have sharp UX sensibilities.
YOUR MISSION
As Pexxi’s Product Manager you will be instrumental to launch the business and set it up for long-term success and scale.
Your role is to:
- Lead a development team through every phase of the product process: brainstorming, research, wireframing, testing, development, deployment and training internal end-users on product usage
- Oversee a functional area and act as the product owner in our scrum team.
- Develop strategy for product planning, including short-term release plans and long-term road maps
- Define and track key performance metrics and other measurable success criteria
- Collect and synthesise user feedback to identify product gaps and define requirements to meet the gaps
- Work with stakeholders and developers to understand the implications of solutions
- Collaboratively develop the best solutions that can be delivered in a time and cost sensitive manner
- Build, groom and prioritize the backlog
- Align development teams and stakeholders around the solutions you develop by advocating for them, ensuring their quality, and growing user engagement
- Iterative attitude to development, someone who agrees the best decisions are made using data, that shipping fast and learning is better than sitting and thinking
- Comfortable communicating directly with designers and developers to inform decision making based on impact, cost and effectiveness
- Decisive, and able to take those decisions and justify them to stakeholders
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
A data-driven product manager with sharp user experience sensibilities to support us reach product market fit. We’re especially interested in candidates who have a proven track record of success, launching products that have demonstrated measurable impact to the business and its users.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need:
- Product management experience, start-up environment preferable
- Experience delivering software as part of agile development teams
- Established data driven strategies for prioritising a backlog
- Led user research and produced actionable insights
- Communicated with technical and non technical stakeholders
- Skills in user-centric, quantitative and qualitative methods to unearth product opportunities and validate ideas (AB testing, prototyping, MVPs, etc.)
- Strength working with analytics and measurement software tools, coupled with strong data analysis skills
- Excellent sense of empathy for end-users and stakeholders with sharp verbal communication, writing, and interpersonal skill
