Our Clinical team is seeking a Research & Data Associate who will support Ovia Health’s clinical research efforts, as well as provide data support to Ovia’s Enterprise business in order to evaluate and demonstrate program impact. In serving the research capacity of this role, the Research & Data Associate will manage study design and implementation, conduct analyses, and manage research partnerships with leading institutions across the country. In serving the business analytics capacity of this role, the Research & Data Associate will support Ovia’s Enterprise division (sales, client success, and partnerships) in utilizing data to demonstrate and communicate maternity benefits program impact to our book of business and to prospective partners.
Core responsibilities include:
Research
- Assist with study design, protocol development, IRB submission, and research study tool implementation (i.e., in-app surveys)
- Analyze data in order to contribute to Ovia’s extensive and growing list of publications and presentations
- Communicate research findings to all relevant audiences, both internal (i.e., sales teams, marketing team, etc.) and external (i.e., academic journals, and medical associations)
- Manage a growing portfolio of academic research partnerships
- Coordinate data transfers to external collaborators, abiding by all legal, compliance, and HIPAA requirements
Business support
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to design and maintain data dashboards, advancing data validation and integrity
- Support outcomes demonstration for our Enterprise clients and prospects including data analysis, data communication, and data visualization
- Effectively combine data sources including patient reported outcomes and aggregated claims data summaries in order to assist the Client Success team in demonstrating program impact to clients
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience
- 1-3 years experience working with data in academic research and/or healthcare technology fields
- Experience with and understanding of the academic research process, from funding to publication
- Demonstrated ability to manipulate, analyze, visualize, and communicate data insights to diverse audiences
- Experience working with healthcare claims data and/or patient reported outcomes and/or digitally collected data a plus
- A team player who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is results driven
Skills & Competencies
- Superb data communication skills to both scientific and lay audiences
- Ability to clean, aggregate, and analyze data in either STATA, SAS, R, Excel, or a similar software
- Positive attitude, self-starter, and willingness to take on and solve problems
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Compelling storytelling through analytics and visualization
- A strong grasp of key sales and marketing metrics and drivers
- The flexibility to respond to changing priorities and business environments
