The Minerva Endometrial Ablation System is a one-time treatment to help you take control of your heavy periods.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the company’s materials needs by coordinating all aspects of materials forecasting, inventory control, and purchasing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiates and monitors open purchase orders to ensure timely receipt and to maintain inventory target levels.
- Supports the smooth flow of materials into and through the facility with close interaction with vendors and materials planning, scheduling, manufacturing and engineering.
- Supports purchasing of office, breakroom and other engineering supplies.
- Coordinate ordering, receipt and packaging of materials, equipment, parts and supplies in compliance with Minerva Surgical procedures.
- Procure and oversee outside suppliers as required. Conduct periodic assessments of suppliers and initiate cost improvement programs to lower costs consistent with quality and service required.
- Maintain inventory levels, which will be enough to satisfy customer and business requirements.
- Coordinate with Finance to resolve invoicing issues.
- Complete projects and tasks in an aggressive manner consistent with corporate objectives. Keep supervisor informed of changes in work schedule and/or workload.
- Regularly recommend and implement methods of improving purchasing and materials handling processes.
- Maintain compliance to GMP systems in coordination with the Document Control and Quality Assurance functions.
- Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures that comply with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), and any other applicable domestic or international requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in MRP and associated applications software. Knowledge of QAD a plus.
- Must be creative problem solver.
- Proven ability to negotiate and establish favorable relationships with vendors.
- Ability to lift and move 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with team members and with external parties (such as suppliers).
- Preferred Education and/or Job experience:
- BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum eight (8) years related experience in addition to experience in computer tracking of materials and the use of spreadsheets and charting software.
