DotLab is a personalized medicine company focused on women’s health and is starting with the development of a cutting-edge molecular diagnostic test for endometriosis. Ten percent of women of child-bearing age suffer from this debilitating disease, which takes an average of a decade to diagnose. We’re looking to change that.
We’re hiring a Business Development leader to drive and execute strategic partnerships. While much of the approach to endometriosis is marred by complexity and misinformation, we’re looking for someone who is excited to significantly improve the journey and make a lasting impact in women’s health. The ideal candidate is excited to build lasting partnerships and ensure this potentially life-changing test reaches the women who need it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Devise strategies for partnering with external organizations (e.g., distributors) through market and customer segmentation
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of partnerships and deal structures
  • Source domestic and international partnership opportunities that drive product growth and adoption
  • Cultivate long-term professional relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Build alliance management processes and implement governance structures once contracts are in place
  • Report to the CEO
REQUIREMENTS
  • Business development executive in diagnostics or biopharma with startup experience
  • Able to deep-dive into the science of DotLab’s technical products in order to communicate with external stakeholders at the right level of detail
  • Proven track record of sourcing partnerships, negotiating contracts, and finalizing deals
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • PhD, MD, or JD is a plus
  • Preference for candidates located in SF Bay Area or NYC, though role can be largely remote in light of COVID-19
