The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting needs of the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will work with people across all levels of the organization including senior management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives. Maintain and improve system reports and ensure accuracy.
- Develops a detailed understanding of department spend and projects, assist in project spend analysis, which includes tracking, summarizing and reporting vs. budget, ensure amounts are within budget and justifications for overspend are provided and approved.
- Conducts research and analysis of variances to ensure data and reporting accuracy. Investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Provide feedback to accounting staff.
- Manages tracking tools, not limited to spreadsheets or software, while working directly with customers to manage correct input of information in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for executing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Prepares and analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital, income & expenses.
- Provides review and analysis of actual time, labor, and costs to ensure appropriate allocation to correct projects.
- Reviews and ensures that all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management.
- Maintains regular and detailed interaction with A/P, Payroll, and Accounting.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, IF Statements.
- Understanding of accounting processes, procedure, and controls.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
