The Director, Revenue Cycle Services serves as an internal subject matter expert, providing training, compliance assistance, and issue resolution in order to maximize the correctness, timeliness and amount of collections. The incumbent supervises and participates in the assignment of appropriate codes for services rendered. The incumbent provides interpretation of regulatory, contractual, market and other factors related to the organization’s revenue cycle. The incumbent works closely with other corporate staff, outside vendors, and with partner physicians and their staffs, to ensure the effectiveness of reimbursement practices.

Duties:

· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting reimbursement. Monitors trends and communicates significant market shifts/changes related to operations and/or reimbursement. Provides and/or arranges for relevant training as needed.

· Lead centralization of RCM functions into the Franklin, TN CBO. Develop and execute detailed project plans to ensure smooth transition and oversee the AR dry up.

· Develop and lead RCM standardization initiatives. Prepare and deliver executive summaries or initiative progress.

· Oversees training and QA/QC for revenue cycle staff to ensure effective and consistent financial counseling, billing and collection practices. Serves as “super user” for existing billing systems (eIVF, Artisan, MicroMD, HST) and related software systems, maintaining user access profiles and training/troubleshooting as needed.

· Reviews medical records and provides accurate and complete coding as indicated. Supervises internal and external sources providing coding services, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

· Serves as a strategic liaison by working collaboratively and professionally with partner physicians and regional COOs. Demonstrates strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by taking ownership of issues, facilitating effective and timely outcomes, communicating results and providing education as indicated.

· Identifies opportunities to enhance existing systems to meet business goals and objectives; implements and/or contributes to process improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience:

· 5-7 years prior healthcare revenue cycle experience, in positions of increasing responsibility/complexity. · Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or equivalent; or Associates degree with 4 additional years of relevant work experience. · Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent experience. · Strong computer skills and experience with spreadsheet programs, word processing and other business related software. · Ability to interpret and apply complex information to everyday business matters. · Very strong written and verbal communication skills – proficient at/professional over email, telephone and face-to-face communication. · Position requires periodic overnight travel (up to 25%)
