Visana Health, a B2B virtual women’s health provider, introduced its Complete Women’s Health Visit, redesigning the traditional well-woman exam to offer more personalized care.

Visana’s value-based platform, which secured a $24 million Series A last year, provides preventative and specialty care spanning menopause, hormone health, and sexual and reproductive health, in all 50 states. While visits are conducted virtually, providers refer patients for in-person screenings like Pap smears and mammograms, when appropriate.

Traditional annual check-ups leave little time to address broader health concerns. At the same time, many insurers only cover preventative screenings, leaving some patients with unexpected co-pays upon voicing specific concerns.

“While these screenings remain critically important, we know that a woman’s long-term health is shaped by much more, including her cardiovascular and metabolic health, hormones, sleep, mental well-being, nutrition, family history, and personal risk factors,” said Visana’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Barbara Levy. “The Complete Women’s Health Visit was designed to close that gap by giving women the time, expertise, and personalized care they need to better understand their health today and reduce their risk for future disease.”

The 45-minute visit includes a whole-body assessment across hormones, cardiovascular health, reproductive health, sexual wellness, and emotional well-being. Rather than follow a standardized protocol, providers recommend personalized labs and follow-up screenings based on each patient’s symptoms, concerns, and risk factors.

Visana reports its value-based model has cut medical costs by 34%, while 87% of patients said the new visit addressed all or most of their health concerns.
