Job Summary:
The Strategic Market Director is a field leadership role supporting market access strategy for Evofem Biosciences brand business. The person in this role will lead all managed markets activities within assigned geographies and other relevant accounts which could include National and Regional Medicare and Commercial insurers, Pharmacy Benefit Manager’s (PBMs),
Assigned Specialty Pharmacies (SPP), State FFS and Managed Medicaid, Medical groups, Accountable Care Organizations (ACO’s) and other healthcare intermediaries. This role will support, influence and manage healthcare accounts managing and growing Evofem Biosciences
brand portfolio. This role will provide market insights to brand teams, sales teams and actively work collaboratively to develop market access strategies and support patient access programs.
Job Responsibilities:
The Strategic Market Director is responsible for executing strategies to enhance and maintain optimal access for Evofem Biosciences portfolio of products in the payor space. This role will lead contract negotiations, present value propositions and provide insights to achieve strategic
goals across all accounts in their assigned market.
Responsibilities include:
• Incorporate knowledge of dynamic and complex marketplace and business trends to deliver maximum access and results.
• Strong understanding of the specialty and orphan market to include medical policy and the review process.
• Ensure product(s) are readily available and achieve targeted reimbursement and / or formulary position.
• Deep and relevant experience with contract management, formulary verification and portfolio management.
• Strong collaboration with all Account Executives and Directors within Market Access supporting activities with regional affiliates for establishing best practices.
• Develop and execute innovative market access strategies as well as traditional strategies while assessing customer capabilities while balancing Evofem Bioscience’s needs.
• Arrange for Senior management customer interactions as needed.
• Develop and execute Strategic Account Plans in cooperation with relevant functions (MSLs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Patient Services and Pricing).
• Penetrate accounts to uncover business opportunities by developing solid professional relationships with key decision makers.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with key account personnel to make sure all business needs are being met and are aligned to goals.
• Establish strong relationships with Sales Field teams and provide on-going clear communication to ensure clarity of access positions and support pull-through efforts.
• Operate consistent with Healthcare Compliance guidelines.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Support the launch planning process for Evofem Biosciences product and future products, by developing product access strategies and tactics for specific market access needs.
• Effectively support sales and marketing by providing expert and complaint consultation to the sales force, medical affairs, and other functional teams on specific payor and managed customers coverage policies and formulary status.
• Compliantly engage medical affairs and medical scientific liaison resources to support optimal product access across all assigned account and within respective coverage geographies.
• Analyzes and uses qualitative and quantitative data and incorporates understanding into decision criteria.
• Serve as a reliable resource to Evofem Bioscience employees regarding local, regional and national product access issues.
• Educate field sales and sales management on their local and regional payor and plan policies/restrictions that impact pull through strategies.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Leadership Responsibilities will include providing direction and education to the Regional Business Manager (RBM) team as it relates to regional account responsibilities, driving coverage policy, and pull through activities for their respective teams.
Education and Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• 7-10 years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years of account management experience or other Market Access experience is preferred.
• Previous Management experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the specialty pharmaceutical space and/or orphan drug space is required.
• Experience working in market access channels with large National Payers, regional health plans, state and local governments, PBM’s, SPP’s, ACO’s and Physician Medical Groups.
• Prior experience with director and senior level health plan executives within the assigned geographical area is preferred.
• Potential candidates must have a solid understanding of key public and private Payor policy infrastructure, payment methodologies, coverage, health policy trends and current business challenges.
Travel:
This position requires up to 75% travel domestically and candidate should reside in their assigned territory unless approved by Vice President of Market Access.
