What is Health Department
Flo’s mission is to improve the lives of millions of women worldwide. We provide advanced user data analytics and most recent scientific research as we believe that knowledge and self-awareness is the key to healthier and better wellbeing.
The health department is one of the core streams at Flo. It consists of three cross-functional teams up to 10 engineers each and focuses on increasing the value we bring to our customers. We impact on all major product lines of the app by exploiting the most advanced AI approaches and collaborating with worldwide recognized healthcare institutes and organizations.
We reach our goal by:
- Providing users with health insights such as cycle and ovulation prediction based on ML algorithms;
- Creating interactive content such as our hugely successful virtual assistant (chat-bot) and performing surveys;
- Performing numerous experiments and testing new product features.
What you will be doing:
- Organizing work according to the product vision
- Orchestrating technical aspects of the product development
- Executing product vision and plans according to the established quality metrics
- Setting up development processes according to best practices (principles, rules) for Health Value Stream (UI standards, security, API, CD, monitoring, etc.)
- People management (Value Stream allocation and forming, hiring members, growth)
- Ensuring effective collaboration among Value Streams and managing dependencies (tech and org)
- Stand for working principles: mutual-dependency/partnership, service, etc.
- Setting the environment to establish transparency and information
- Escalating and solving problems within and outside the Value Stream
- Implementing agreed artifacts for the Value Stream
