We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer (Firmware) to strengthen our testing team in Oulu. As a Test Engineer, your main responsibility will be to test firmware in our product. The work will include test planning, implementation and tools development. You will work as a part of our testing team in close cooperation with our Software, Hardware and Science teams.
What You will do:
- Review and analyse product specifications and requirements
- Develop test plans and test cases according to specifications and requirements
- Report bugs and help developers with debugging
- Ensure that firmware test automation is working
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team, if you have:
- 2+ years of experience in automated software testing
- Good knowledge of different software testing methods and understanding of the QA processes
- Python programming skills
- Basic knowledge of embedded devices
- Good problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good ability to manage stress and work under pressure
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
Although not necessary, we appreciate prior experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and experience in Pytest or Robot Framework. Also, knowledge of BLE and basic understanding of embedded devices is a plus.
