About the Role:
This individual will assist the Controller with the following activities:
- Meeting both internal and external reporting deadlines
- Completing interim and year-end audit fieldwork
- Filing tax extensions & returns, as well as various compliance reports
- Implementing historical accounting adjustments to convert to US GAAP
- Documenting accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Researching the proper accounting treatment for new products and contracts
- Cap table management software implementation and testing
- Other systems integrations as needed
Responsibilities
- Daily bank account reconciliations
- Preparing monthly reconciliations and flux analysis for all balance sheet accounts
- Manage the annual Form 1099 filing process
- Own the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
- Own the Revenue and Deferred Revenue cycle
- Manage the company credit cards and employee expense reimbursement process
- Own Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses and Accrued Expenses
- Manage the corporate debt facility and deferred debt issuance costs
- Own the corporate equity transactions
Qualifications
- CPA Required
- Accounting experience of 3-5 years required
- BS in Accounting or Finance required
- Loan accounting or financial services experience preferred
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Advanced excel skills required
- Critical thinker with ability to independently research issues and propose resolutions
- Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to collaborate cross departmentally as well as work independently
- Adept in foundational accounting concepts
- Looking to streamline processes and gain efficiency through systems and automation
- Passionate about the fertility space
- Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred, Bill.com, Expensify and Carta a plus
