Hims and Hers is looking for an outstanding Privacy Counsel to join our growing Legal & Government Relations/Public Affairs team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will take point on privacy compliance, with the opportunity to take ownership of material projects in a high-growth, collaborative company. You will work closely with teams across the business to maintain our privacy commitments, help solve interesting problems, and shape legislative and policy efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Hims and Hers privacy program, including the implementation and updating of privacy policies and procedures, workforce training, and monitoring/auditing activities
- Advise cross-functional teams on broad variety of privacy issues
- Lead our privacy compliance efforts under international, federal and state laws, including HIPAA, CCPA and other healthcare privacy requirements
- Assist in developing and implementing privacy incident response plans
- Help inform and shape the company’s legislative efforts
Experience & Skills:
- Extensive experience with privacy laws and regulations (healthcare experience preferred)
- Strong record of providing solution-focused advice
- Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- JD from top law school
- 5+ years privacy experience
- CIPP preferred
