Elitone, a US-based healthcare company, has launched its non-invasive pelvic floor treatment device in the UK. The FDA-cleared and CE-certified wearable device targets the 42% of UK women who reportedly suffer from bladder leaks.

Unlike traditional treatments, Elitone’s solution doesn’t require internal insertion or surgery. The device delivers neuromuscular stimulation through an external, reusable GelPad worn like a panty liner, performing 100 contractions in 20 minutes to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.

“After I gave birth to twins weighing 13lbs, I started to leak. It was frustrating, but thank goodness for the experience, so today we can bring you a better solution,” said Gloria Kolb, Co-Founder and CEO. “I learned that one in three women leaks, but I was appalled at the available solutions. All options I could buy were vaginal devices that require you to lock yourself in your bedroom and lie on your back for 20 minutes every day. I wanted something non-invasive that didn’t take up my time.”

According to the company, over 30,000 US women have used the device, with 95% achieving fewer leaks in six weeks and an 85% reduction in sanitary pad use for stress incontinence cases. Treatment results show a 70% improvement in leaks within six weeks.

The device is now available at Pharmacy2U for £332.00 for the six-week treatment, with replacement GelPad 5-packs for maintenance costing £24.99. Elitone plans to expand distribution to other local retailers including Boots and Currys.
