Website OMGYES OMGYES

We finally have the openness and research to take a clear-headed look at the many nuances of women's sexual pleasure. It's about time!

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer to join the team responsible for crafting experiences that turn academic research into warm, engaging web resources.

This is a hands-on UX/UI design role and requires an individual who has a passion for tackling complex problems by building elegant, simple, and intuitive design solutions.

Key Qualifications

● 5-10+ years’ experience as a UX/UI designer (with several years of experience working on B2C websites in an agency or in-house capacity)

● The ability to communicate concepts and solutions through sketches, wireframes, detailed design comps, and prototypes

● A portfolio of work that includes mobile and desktop web experiences

● Creative portfolio that showcases your work including UX documents, sitemaps, flows, and wireframes and demonstrate how you apply knowledge of usability, user-centered design, content strategy and a strong capacity for both logical and creative thinking.

● Strong understanding of experience design using current best practices to create efficient, usable, seamless user-experiences.

● Experience creating multiple variations of ux flows and ui designs for testing with a ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

●  Proficiency with design and prototyping software such as Sketch and InVision

● An appreciation for, and fluency in, pixel-perfect, modern, minimal web design.

The day to day

One of the best parts about working at OMGyes is our collaborative working environment. Our features and new ideas are motivated by feedback from our users and our researchers. We have regular brainstorms and design challenges involving the whole company to look at how users are experiencing OMGyes and applying the information they learn to their lives.

We take ideas from those meetings and create new user experience prototypes for user research. After learning from user feedback, we adapt our prototypes and implement the insights as new features and content on OMGyes.com.

Some of the ways you will be contributing as a UX/UI designer at OMGyes will include:

● Crafting detailed and comprehensive user experience website flows, designing prototypes, detailed comps, and design specs.

● Presenting in-progress and final designs to team members, refining and updating design deliverables to respond to feedback.

● Working with the team to combine customer insights, analytics, and UX research findings to inform simple, intuitive, elegant web interfaces and user flows.

● Ensuring that the design intent is maintained throughout the development phase by collaborating closely with the engineering team.

The Additional perks of working at For Goodness Sake:

● 99% paid health, dental and vision insurance

● 4 weeks paid time off and 10 paid holidays

● paid parental leave

● wellness stipend (up to $150/month)

● Berkeley HQ – 25′ ceilings, natural light, adjustable height desks

OMGyes offers:

● an unusually humanitarian company mission and philosophy

● non-garden-variety design challenges

● big company stability and benefits — with small company culture

● market pay for you — more pleasure and happiness for humankind

What you’ll be working on:

Now is a really exciting time to join the OMGyes team. We’ve just completed a large round of research with users who experienced the most benefits from OMGyes (like increased pleasure, relationship closeness, body positivity, optimism, confidence and other life effects). We are now working to implement the ‘happy paths’ they discovered to put as many users on these ‘happy paths’ as possible.

Here’s where you come in – We’re now doing further design research to figure out the best ways to restructure and add to our customer experience. We’ll need to work together to turn insights into hypothesis UX flows and clickable prototypes to iteratively test with users. Then we’ll turn our learnings into a polished web experience that engages and inspires the next waves of OMGyes users.

Future of the position:

From Women’s Pleasure to Human Pleasure

OMGyes.com, which has been a resource about women’s pleasure, is growing into a resource about human pleasure, with findings about all genders: women, men and gender diverse people.

What else is going on at For Goodness sake?

There are other parts of life that are taboo, and we’re tackling them. Where people are currently alone in their experience, resorting to anecdotes, dubious websites and forums even though billions have walked the same path and learned valuable lessons.

Among these topics is ways people approach dying, and ways people approach mourning. In a similar way to OMGyes, we’re conducting large-scale research to gather insights from tens of thousands of people who feel they have learned particularly helpful and meaningful lessons.  We’ll find the themes and patterns in those insights. And we’ll publish scientific papers and make warm, engaging online resources to spread that wisdom.

Additional Requirements
