Our interdisciplinary team of doctors, designers & data enthusiasts have seen first-hand how women’s needs have been radically underserved and underestimated, and are on a mission to build a new distinctly female care model from the ground up, online and offline.
Tia’s ecosystem of products, tools and services — from the Tia app to the Tia Clinic, a real-world gynecology, primary care, & wellness practice based in NYC — is connected by a unique, human-centered approach to care that focuses on listening and learning all about women and their holistic needs, from anatomy to emotions, from gut health to getting it on. Tia encourages honest and transparent conversations about patients’ health, both with their care team and their community of members, to help women make independent and informed healthcare decisions with confidence and ease.
Role Description: As the Head of Learning & Development, you will play a strategic role as a visionary trainer transforming and driving content across the clinic/s from ops, medical, tech, and brand into digestible materials and tools that effectively ensures staff are well trained and bought in on the plan. You will build ‘the boot camp’ for the future of women’s health, and be instrumental in ensuring that Tia promotes a productive and knowledgeable workforce, supported by comprehensive, engaging, and impactful learning and development programs.
This role is based in New York City and reports to the VP of Clinical Operations.

Your Skills

Role Responsibilities

    • Design the best systems, tools, and processes to effectively productize Tia’s delivery of clinic training, ensure that the productization of these services hits the quality bar. Manage the clinic L&D roadmap and priorities and responsible for strategy in partnership with the c-suite team. Implement and maintain a Learning Management tool. Design and develop scalable training solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 sessions, train the trainer, action learning, and e-learning platforms. Implement and drive experiential learning with practical applications including “new methods and activities.” Research, recommend and apply learning and development best practices to all training materials, including new methods and activities. Implement creative training solutions including the development of games, role play, q&a, etc. Focus on delivering high impact training that maximizes learner participation, comprehension and application of the material utilizing technology, interaction, and innovative tactics. Work with the Operations team to create and develop strategic communication plans to ensure the streamlined rollout of new training initiatives and materials.
    • Evaluate, implement, and operationalize resources and outcomes of Learning & Development with an ownership mentality. Partner strategically with key inputters  to understand business objectives and consistently translate these into tactical training materials. Identify and evaluate individual and organizational development needs to create and execute various learning strategies and programs across the company. Manage programs including on-boarding, orientation, initial training, new-in-position development, leadership development, and ongoing employee skill development that are motivating, inspiring and set the foundation for long-term growth. Write and implement assessments, evaluations, and readiness reviews in order to collect and track data on instructional effectiveness and impact of training on employee skills and KPIs. Design rinse and repeat training strategies. Develop train the trainer tool kits and facilitate trainer trainings. Design ongoing “refreshes” on trainings. Collaborate with outside partners and vendors to coordinate and schedule trainings such as OSHA and CPR/AED, and professional development with consideration for quality assurance and budgetary restrictions. Manage Tia specific training assets across operations, medical, brand, and tech. Design and develop Tia tech-specific programs to train internal teams and Tia partners inclusive of CWCT, Tia Admin, TiaMD, etc. Lead the charge in developing Tia Academy; work with the CMO, COO, and VP of Clinical Operations to define the structure, process for producing content, and materials required to productize, as well as dissemination of the process to employees.
    • Drive hospitality training best practices as a brand champion and culture warrior. Develop best in class hospitality level service training. Facilitate, coordinate, and lead Hospitality Training sessions. Ensure the service and hospitality standards are defined, communicated and upheld throughout the clinic teams
