About The Job

As Visana’s first sales executive focused on commercial health plans, you’ll own defining the health plan channel growth strategy and be the accountable leader executing it. You’ll be working on the forefront of virtual care helping health plans determine how to incorporate Visana into their networks and service offerings for ASO employer customers, how to make Visana visible and appealing to their members and how the plans create innovative payment models that support Visana’s innovate care model.

As a leader within the organization, you’ll have responsibility for bringing market feedback into the company. You will work with product, clinical, operations and others to inform their direction that enables you to offer the best product/market fit for health plan clients.

This is a fully remote position reporting to the President.

What You Will Do

  • Build the commercial health plan strategy for Visana.
  • Develop relationships with target health plan key decision-makers and influencers including clinical, product, network, sales, and innovation.
  • Influence health plan virtual care strategies to best position Visana for long term success.
  • Create awareness and interest in Visana among target health plans through lead generation activities.
  • Introduce Visana to health plans and market influencers.
  • Aggressively develop and qualify a sales pipeline for 2024 and beyond.
  • Collaboratively develop Visana’s health plan value story with Marketing.
  • Bring market feedback to the Visana team to improve product/market fit.

What You’ll Need

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of selling health services or digital health solutions to health plans with a demonstrated track record of sales success.
  • A broad, active network among Blues, regional and national commercial health plans.
  • Demonstrated success shepherding complex health plan solution deals to close, including, RFP/RFI processes, fee negotiations, and contracting.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to overcome objections, navigate internal politics and achieve a win-win deal.
  • Attention to detail in everything from relationship strategy to tailoring the pitch through to contract negotiations.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to generate leads and follow through.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working and selling within a commercial health plan and/or digital health
  • 7-12 years working in health care and/or health benefits.
