Our first product, Elvie Trainer, is an award-winning app-connected trainer that helps women strengthen the pelvic floor via fun, five-minute workouts. It took the wellness industry by storm and is now available via the NHS Supply Chain. Our street cred includes more than 12 awards for innovation and design, including the prestigious Red Dot Award and an IDA Design Award.
Our second innovation: Elvie Pump, the world’s first silent wearable breast pump, is making it possible for new mothers to pump anytime, anywhere. Elvie Pump has received international praise, including being listed as one of Times 100 best inventions in 2019 and ‘wearable design of the design of the year’ at the Dezeen Awards.
As a business, Elvie has received more than 30 awards, including being named as one of 15 startups “To Watch” by The Sunday Times, ranked as the 6th fastest growing business in the UK by SyndicateRoom in 2019. Tania Boler has recently been rated as the 8th most influential person shaping british technology in 2019 by Business Insider and both products have been featured in the Oscar Nominee Gift Bags. In April 2019, Elvie announced a $42 million Series B from IPGL, Octopus Ventures and Impact Ventures, bringing the total raised thus far to over $50 million. Our Series B represented the largest ever fundraise in Femtech. This new round of financing will accelerate Elvie’s research and development efforts, as well as help grow brand awareness and distribution.

Who you are
- In this role you will lead our New Product Realisation, on-going efficiency improvement, cost down opportunities, OEM manufacturing reviews, OEM SOP reviews and overseeing Quality, In market testing and regulation testing. You will also deal with suppliers and handle batch manufacturing requirements.

- Reporting directly to the Chief Product Office, you will design and deliver a multisite people centric manufacturing excellence agenda to achieve and exceed group targets
- In this role you will be supporting organisational growth and improving company processes. You will be data focused and results driven, and shape operational processes within the business as we continue to scale.
What you will do
- Will utilise modern continuous improvement/ lean techniques to improve our manufacturing performance
- Will lead and mentor a multifunctional team
- Will work closely alongside other members of the senior leadership team and input where required to ensure further business success.
- Will oversee the smooth running and continuous improvement of all units. You’ll be focused on execution, optimisation and results, able to quickly ramp up volume in a short time, without compromising quality
- Will manage and build close collaboration with existing and new suppliers, to ensure optimum pricing, quality and delivery at all times
- Will take a hands-on approach to the development and delivery of compelling strategies to improve production capacity, efficiency and profitability throughout the sites
- Will Oversee internal systems to ensure high standards are maintained and exceeded in line with business strategy as well as customer expectations and government legislations
- Managing the budget for the site and production lines, with a continual eye on developing and tracking appropriate KPI’s
- Quality control and assurance, responsible for all product line quality sign off
- Be a driving force for Health and Safety and ensure the team are trained for and adhere to policies and regulations
- Building, coaching and mentoring a high-performing team from scratch to support the day to day operations and ambitious growth plans
- Providing support to internal stakeholders, helping deliver strategic objectives
- Gathering, analysing and reporting on business data to help support key business and strategic decision making
- Driving continuous improvement and process change across the business to improve quality and drive overall cost savings
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure little to no risk to business planned productions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product development and manufacturing of complex electro mechanical devices
- Have the ability to prove you can increase operational performance in a consumer product manufacturing environment
- Experience in either high volume consumer electronics or medical device manufacturing would be beneficial
- Experience transferring multiple projects to SEA (south east asian) manufacturers
- Excellent team leadership and development skills with the ability to prove you can lead by example to deliver group goals and represent the business at the highest level within industry
- Will be keen to operate in a hands-on leadership role that involves leading and mentoring a multifunctional team in a fast-paced environment
- Significant experience of leading and scaling production in a hyper-growth environment, ideally with high-quality, complex products
- Continuous improvement is in your DNA, you thrive working in Lean and Six Sigma, constantly looking for innovative ways to improve and streamline production environments
- A solutions-focused, resilient, go-getter, willing to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on whilst offering your strategic advice in a thoughtful and methodical way
- A laser-focused eye for detail and excellent analytical ability, able to extract, analyse and interpret data
- Quality focused, being at the forefront of everything you do
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the business
- A natural leader, able to flex your approach to hire, nurture and motivate a large team
