We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting an innovation project, developing a novel nutritional product to provide cardiovascular health support for postmenopausal women. You will work closely with the CEO and a team of researchers, food science and nutrition experts, to ensure the smooth execution of the project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on women’s health and well-being, and your expertise in project management and passion for innovation will be instrumental in driving the project’s success.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Provide comprehensive support to the CEO throughout the lifecycle of the innovation project, to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and milestones, proactively identifying any potential risks or bottlenecks to maintain project progress.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates to ensure seamless coordination.
- Assist with sourcing potential suppliers and partners for raw materials, packaging, and other resources required for the project.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure smooth production and adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
- Assist with planning and coordination of project activities including site visits, meetings, conference attendance, market research and consumer studies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, meeting notes, progress reports, and relevant research findings.
- Assist in managing project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Prepare regular project status reports for key stakeholders.
General support:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in product development and project management.
- Assist with market research.
- Assist with development of reports, planning and strategy documents.
- Undertake any additional project or administrative tasks as may be required.
This is a part-time role at 0.4FTE (2 days per week), with some flexibility in scheduling. The role is based out of our workspace in Camden, London. If you are passionate about women’s health and sustainable innovation, we invite you to apply and join us on this exciting project!
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the context of product development, nutrition, health or innovation-related projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive and adaptable mindset with a passion for driving innovation and delivering impactful results.
Desirable:
- Degree in project management, nutrition, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Certified training in Project Management
- Experience of product development and/or market research for food, nutrition, or health-related products.
