Sera Prognostics, Inc., a women’s health care company, is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual for the role of Senior Accountant. This is a full-time, in-house position responsible for the Company’s day-to-day accounting and semi-monthly payroll process. The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and Accounting and be involved in a number of exciting duties and projects as the Company continues to grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete monthly closing journal entries and maintain schedules
- Manage fixed asset sub-ledger
- Reconcile cash and credit card accounts
- Assist with monthly reporting and analysis
- Assist with quarterly financial statement preparation and annual audit
- Process semi-monthly payroll
- Produce schedules/forms for tax and regulatory payroll/benefit filings
- Assist with annual tax provision and multiple periodic filings.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Accounting degree
- 3+ years experience of full-cycle accounting (GL management, journal entries, monthly close, etc…)
- Hands-on payroll experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience with web-based accounting software
- Eagerness to develop new skills
