What You’ll Do:
- Manage outside counsel relationships on legal matters pertaining to corporate law, healthcare compliance, litigation, securities, and M&A
- Set the overall strategy and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities for the legal function, ensuring that all legal matters are in alignment with our mission, values, and business objectives.
- Build and execute a regulatory strategy that allows for risk-managed scaling of FOLX’s platform
- Support the CEO and Finance team in corporate development initiatives
- Manage legal and corporate governance matters, including Board materials, consents, minutes, and associated processes and policies
- Support the executive team by identifying and assessing legal risks and opportunities and advise accordingly
- Serve as the escalation point for contract, compliance, data/privacy, IP, HR, and corporate matters
- Draft, negotiate, and examine agreements, such as strategic partnership opportunities, vendor contracts, and supplier agreements
What You Bring:
- 10+years of relevant corporate legal experience, including law firm practice and at least 3 years of in-house / startup
- Take on ambiguous and complex problems outside the scope of your past expertise. You know how to work with business leaders to unblock and de-risk new opportunities
- You care about your impact upon the LGBTQ+ community. That means more building and less talking as you work toward something that has a chance to change people’s lives
- You can build teams and direct the work of others, but you’re still happy to roll up your sleeves and get the job done yourself if need be
- You’re kind, charismatic and humble. Teams want to be in the trenches with you, and to build something great by your side
- Commitment to working in an LGBTQIA+ centric environment and to increase your own cultural competency in a space with constantly evolving identities and language
Salary range: $215,000 – $235,000
