Position Description

The (Senior) Manager, Operational Materials Procurement

  • Ensures right time, right quality and right cost of respective service.
  • Manages and challenges of Operational Materials Procurement incl. people and resources (e.g. budget planning).
  • Contributes to target settings, aligned with other targets in Global Operations.
  • Leads and initiates continuous improvement/ lean projects of higher complexity reaching across several departments in Global Operations, permanent process control.
  • Delivers excellent compliance in scope of responsibilities.
  • Independent assumption of entrepreneurial duties resulting from the connection between the activity exercised by the Employee and that agreed under the employment contract.

Position Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and/or skills in a subject area or broadened knowledge of multiple subject areas, that normally were acquired within the scope of university education.
  • Examples of required degrees are Diploma, Master’s, 1st state examination or comparable qualification.
  • Responsibility for subject areas or the leading of a small team. Additional qualifications such as knowledge of project management, IT certification, Six Sigma, or the like.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
  • Typically at least 5-8 years of relevant professional experience required.
