We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a full-time position within the office. Medical Assistants educate, treat, and inform their patients. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Duties would include assisting physician with patient care
- Prepare patients for exams or treatment
- Prepare and give injections
- Take patient history & vitals, phlebotomy
- Record patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner
- Organize exam and treatment rooms
- Stock, clean rooms and sterilize instruments
- Answering phones/scheduling appointments
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Electronic record maintenance
Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years prior experience, preferably in the healthcare setting
- Certified Medical Assistants preferred
- Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirement
