Website Elektra Health

Let’s smash the menopause taboo, together.

Elektra Health is on a mission to smash the menopause taboo. We empower the 50M women currently navigating menopause with evidence-based education, care, and community.

Elektra Health is led by experienced women’s healthcare founders and top OB/GYNs, and is backed by leading venture capital firms, angel investors and industry advisors from SoulCycle, Conde Nast, One Medical, and beyond. We’ve been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Pitchbook, the Financial Times and Crunchbase, and by both Katie Couric and Maria Shriver.

About the Role

Elektra is seeking a highly-motivated intern to help us run Elektra’s customer operations. We’re looking for a passionate, thoughtful, and detail-oriented team member to roll up their sleeves and contribute to our mission. If you’re passionate about empowering women, experiencing the early-stage startup life, and providing top-notch service to customers and community members, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Together with Elektra’s founding team, you’ll capture the “lightning in a bottle” momentum to achieve our mission to smash the menopause taboo, creating a women’s health movement in the process.

In addition to nurturing our existing community and operations, you will also work with Elektra senior leadership to dream up opportunities to grow our community and to engage women in innovative, creative ways.

In this position, you will:

  • Assist Elektra’s operations manager in day-to-day operations of both clinical and program-based membership
  • Track and monitor program performance metrics
  • Assist with back-end member documentation and analysis
  • Manage distribution of Elektra swag
  • Assist the entire Elektra team with various projects as needed, for example: online research, website updates, virtual event coordination, and more

Success in this role means demonstrating impact across several initiatives, including new program rollout, member coordination and management, and more.

About You

  • You have outstanding writing and communication skills, you’re extremely well-organized, and can manage time effectively
  • You’re comfortable with the dynamic, early-stage startup environment that includes quick pivots, fast-paced product launches, all hands on deck attitude, and wearing many hats
  • You are able to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote environment
  • You’re motivated by the opportunity to build and scale a new solution in the women’s health space
  • You’re a strong team player, a nice person, and you’re not afraid to pitch in when needed, make suggestions for improvements, and ask questions for clarification
  • You have at least 2 years of professional working experience
  • You are proficient with Google’s suite of programs
  • You have the ability to store 1-2 boxes of Elektra promotional swag (i.e. hats, totes) in your smoke-free residence
  • Bonus points if you have experience working in a startup environment, and knowledge of our tooling, i.e. Slack, Canva, Figma, Notion, and Klaviyo

Elektra Health is focused on the next major opportunity in the women’s health space. This is an amazing chance to be part of a small, tight-knit team as one of Elektra’s earliest team members, working directly alongside Elektra’s founding team. You will work on solving a huge problem in women’s health affecting up to 50% of the population.

This is a part-time, paid internship starting at 10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase for the right candidate.

Today, we are a remote-first team but you will report to a team member based in Milwaukee who you would be working closely with, so there would definitely be opportunities for some in-person connections, safety permitting.
