LOLA is looking for a results oriented Director of E-commerce who will act as an overall e-commerce leader and collaborate cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the e-commerce business. This includes strategizing, planning, developing and executing content plans, overseeing the generation of promotional materials and campaigns, monitoring performance analytics and managing to the D2C P&L with both scale and profitability in mind. The candidate must have a proven track record of running a successful e-commerce business.
What You’ll Be Known For
- Oversee DTC at LOLA — orchestrating all aspects of the strategic e-commerce plan; combining existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, lifecycle marketing, customer experience, and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers.
- Partner with the Director of Media and other cross-functional stakeholders on integrated marketing campaigns that will deliver an increase in conversion rates, active subscribers, overall order size, and manage margin performance across a variety of product lines.
- In collaboration with digital and marketing teams, establish a clear roadmap of DTCinitiatives that support the overall channel growth strategy.
- Actively drive and participate in cross-channel conversations to ensure holistic business decision making in topics like pricing, branding, product mix, community, etc.
- Regularly iterate strategies and tactics to optimize channel growth and increase retention as customers are acquired and LTVs become clear.
- Set informed goals and share visibility on full funnel performance and ongoing learnings, with identification of opportunities for growth (upsell, new media channels, etc).
- Oversee upsell and lifecycle marketing for our engaged customer base, crafting personalized journeys for key customer profiles.
- Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase e-commerce sales and profitability in alignment with KPIs.
- Partner with Customer Experience team to continually improve the customer experience on-site.
- Manage third party vendors and internal resources to ensure the success of the direct to consumer business.
- Provide thought leadership and expertise on current e-commerce industry best practices.
Key Nearterm Initiatives
- Set the forward looking strategic roadmap for the DTC channel in 2020.
- Manage the DTC team to execute on 1H’20 tactics in an effort to hit our revenue, LTR, acquisition, conversion, upsell, and retention goals.
- Collaborate across the business (such as Brand, Physical Product, among others) to improve and differentiate our DTC customer experience.
Who You Are
- 8+ years’ experience in D2C e-commerce, D2C subscription business experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing (or related focus/work experience).
- Demonstrated history of successfully managing and growing an e-commerce business.
- A problem solver and data wizard who is able to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new e-commerce strategies.
- Proven leader with experience both managing and executing large e-commerce projects.
- Demonstrated business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
- Experience managing team members.
- Experience working within an e-commerce platform and familiarity with different e-commerce platforms or 3rd party solutions.
- Experience with A/B Testing Tools (Monetate, Optimize, Optimizely, etc…) and methodologies.
- Experience with Analytics and Data Visualization tools, including Google Analytics and Looker.
- Phenomenal communication skills.
