Role Description

VP, Strategy role is a leadership position that has primary responsibility for strategy formulation and implementation, including developing the brand strategy, managing strategic planning, and leading growth initiatives including audience insights and segmentation, brand architecture, competitive analysis, product design and consumer experience.

The Work You’ll Do: 

  • Develop a comprehensive, inclusive strategic plan and growth strategy by collaborating with the Chief Growth Officer, senior leadership and BI/Data Science team
  • Analyze market dynamics, market share changes and product line performance
  • Communicating and implementing a brand strategy internally and externally so that all employees, partners, suppliers, and contractors understand the company-wide strategic plan and how it carries out the company’s overall goals
  • Driving decision-making that creates medium- and long-term improvement
  • Establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and insights; translating them into a comprehensive recommendations to inform the go-to-market plans
  • Translating strategies into actionable and quantitative plans; while monitoring and measuring the execution of the strategic plans
  • Ensuring product and marketing planning projects reflect organizational growth priorities
  • Mobilizing and inspiring teams of individuals charged with executing strategies

This role is a key leadership role for the Marketing team and reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer

  • You love measuring impact and managing ambitious goals. You’re effective at setting clear goals and measuring the impact of initiatives – whether it’s about driving accuracy, time savings, or customer delight
  • You have a strong understanding of audience insights as well as marketing, innovation and business strategy fundamentals. You understand the technical aspects of qual / quant research, marketing analytics, media and channel planning

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years of work experience, with 4 years of experience in leadership roles
  • Prior experience leading strategy and insights teams in 500+ employee organizations preferred
  • Personally compelled and inspired by Thinx mission; individuals specifically interested in health and wellness and sustainability
  • Extensive experience building innovative, forward-thinking, business focused strategies that contribute to a strong high performing culture
  • Led or worked closely with cx/ux, media, analytics and data science teams
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and strong creative-problem solving skills
  • Has experience across multiple verticals, such as retail, fashion, CPG and tech, that can be drawn upon to help scale the Thinx business
  • Genuinely cares about growing people and business simultaneously
