ROLE SUMMARY

We are hiring a Chief of Staff to work with our Executive Team and other leaders across the organization to drive the CEO’s internal and public-facing agenda in order to run, scale & operationalize the business more effectively. This is an amazing opportunity to run point on a wide range of critical activities including strategic planning, operational cadence, external & internal CEO communications, and cross-functional projects. You also will need to have the presence, judgment, and capability to represent the CEO in any capacity internally or externally.
As the right hand to the CEO, you will be a key member of the leadership team working to drive the company forward. A successful candidate will be viewed by the entire team as the key person behind the scenes making sure everything at Everlywell runs smoothly and efficiently. You’re both in the trenches figuring out what is really happening in the business, and in the boardroom making sure that the decisions there incorporate that. Because of you, Everlywell is making better decisions and executing at a higher level than ever before, and the CEO is more effective than ever.
We are in high growth, startup mode and need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty. If you are passionate about having a broad but deep impact and looking for an opportunity to learn a ton about our business, optimize and grow, Everlywell is the place for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to establish annual and quarterly strategic priorities, and then the broader organization on aligning their actions and communications in support of agreed upon goals.
  • Coordinate and drive effective cadence of functional operating meetings including Executive Leadership Team, All Hands, Operating Reviews, etc.
  • Analyze data, prepare metrics / operational barometers and provide insights & recommendations for the CEO to effectively run the business.
  • Be a central point of contact for the coordination of the CEO activities and ensure preparation of relevant documents and briefing material.
  • Develop a deep understanding of current business issues and be able to provide timely advice to the CEO.
  • Leverage internal partners both formally and informally to glean organizational insights and identify areas for improvement; taking action where necessary to get ahead of issues before they rise to the CEO’s attention.
  • Prepare written reports, communications, and other materials required by the CEO, including developing content for and running quarterly Board of Directors meetings.

Who You Are:

  • 8-10 years of amazing & relevant experiences that prepared you for this role (BS/BA degree required, but an MBA/master’s would also be nice!).
  • Have the smarts to figure out a new business or area very quickly, no matter how complex.
  • Can understand and get to the right answer on almost any area of the business. You’ve probably been a management consultant, business ops leader, or spent time in public policy.
  • Are amazing with the numbers, and write great presentations and documents. You don’t mind being asked to write or present.
  • Have been a leader wherever you go. You command the respect of a room no matter who is in it. If people didn’t know your title, they might mistake you for the CEO.
  • You know how to run a meeting, keep things moving, and get the outcome required whether or not the CEO is there.
  • Can build strong relationships with people at all levels of the company. People respect you and like you because you value them.
  • Know the numbers and details cold and will make it your personal mission to make sure the CEO does too. You understand what’s going on in the front line of the business and can see patterns and trends out of seemingly disparate data points.
  • Are willing to take on any project and drive it to success, whether or not you’ve done it before. You can figure out what to do without a lot of direction and still deliver an amazing result.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment / healthcare or consumer industry a plus.
