The Role: 

Carrot is seeking a Business Development Manager to help Carrot grow and retain our customer base. The BD team is a highly experienced team of individuals responsible for developing trust-based relationships with key consultants, ensuring our inclusion in appropriate opportunities, driving successful outcomes and generally educating the consultant market on Carrot capabilities.

The Business Development Manager at Carrot Fertility will be responsible for developing deep relationships with industry consultants and helping Carrot develop positioning in a way that is aligned with consultants’ expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop trust-based relationships with consultant leadership and individual consultants, with a focus on regional and mid-market consultants
  • Educate consultants on Carrot’s capabilities, collect feedback and adjust positioning where possible. When necessary, work internally to share obstacles and advantages.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success team to grow and retain Carrot customers.
  • Support events (e.g. lunch and learns, consultant events) as needed

The Team: 

The Business Development Manager will work in partnership and strategize closely with the BD team in entirety and will report to the AVP of Business Development.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years consulting experience, with strong existing relationships, or
  • 2-3 years Consultant Relations experience
  • Deep understanding of Benefits Leaders’ priorities and challenges
  • Strong execution of phone/web/in-person meetings, follow-through and articulation of goals

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years consulting experience, with strong existing relationships, and
  • 2-3 years Consulting Relations experience
  • Proven track record of significantly increasing impact year over year
