The Senior Business System Analyst will be responsible for Administering the Salesforce.com and Marketing Automation systems for the Sales & Marketing organizations according to best practices, along with integrated or supporting systems to support the Sales & Marketing organization to improve operational efficiency, helping us to achieve substantial revenue growth, and deliver an amazing customer experience. You should have a strong understanding of cloud-based business applications, extensive experience with data management and reporting, and the ability to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience implementing Salesforce.com for Sales & Marketing including Opportunities, forecasting/quotas, Territory Management, Account Planning/Management, Lead to Cash, Quote to Cash, Sales Campaign Management, and best practices for KPIs/training. This individual must be forward thinking, staying up to date on Salesforce feature releases to educate the business on needs they have not yet identified, while working closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure appropriate collaboration between Marketing and Sales to drive a mutually beneficial relationship to support revenue drive and end user adoption.
The ideal candidate will be located in San Diego, however, this position can be located in San Diego, CA, Ann Arbor, MI, Irving, TX, or remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Extensive hands-on administration and configuration of Salesforce.com and Marketing Automation tools, leveraging knowledge from each applications’ releases and new features to ensure best practices and avoid IT debt.

Collaborates with the business analysts and business contacts to review and analyze requirements and create functional specifications in a fast paced environment.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams for new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation.

Coordinates with implementation partners, other IT managers, internal stakeholders and developers in providing solution suggestions and constructive feedback.

Works with Business Analysts to create and publish best practices in relation to our products and system configuration.

Partners with IT colleagues in a collaborative system for cross functional review/design and proactive communication to identify cross-functional impacts/resource constraints and ensure awareness.

Partners with the development team in the design, testing and deployment of application to ensure the solution meets the agreed upon business requirements while creatively leveraging standard capabilities where appropriate, while adhering to Architectural best practices (clicks not code mentality).

Performs unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of new application functionality.

Analyzes and mitigates issues identified during testing.

Ensures a focus on worker’s information needs driving high level of usability and data quality.

Fields incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within Salesforce and other related systems.

Prioritizes, schedules, and administers all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.

Records, tracks, and documents the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

Communicates application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.

Tests fixes and perform post-resolution follow-up to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

Coordinates with department heads to assess departmental application training needs and objectives.

Participates in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.

Posts software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution.

Performs preventative maintenance, including regression testing for releases and Critical Updates Key point of contact during Audit/Compliance reviews.

Identifies opportunities for new applications, application optimization, redesign, or development within the Sales and Marketing teams Audit, uncover and resolve data integrity & Security / Compliance issues Perform mass data imports/exports using the API or various import tools.

Complies with the Progenity’s Polices/Procedures protecting patient information and the confidentiality of the information in accordance with the Federal and State regulations, including SOX, HIPAA, Hitech and support principles of IT Risk Management.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Strong investigation skills, project requirements development, and documentation creation.

5 + years with strong technical and functional experience in hands on application administration and configuration of SalesForce.com.

Hands on experience with Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, etc.) is a plus, but a clear understanding of use cases and optimization required.

Experience leading and working with outside contracted SF developers for work related to Salesforce projects.

Data migration and integration experience.

Data cleansing and import/export of large volumes of data.

Ability to multi-task, and handle urgent interrupts, bug fixes, problem solve, and manage projects with high level of professionalism.

Working knowledge of Waterfall/Agile methodologies for managing sprint backlogs, planning, prioritization, working status, and deployment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes, use cases, and best practices.

Expertise in requirements gathering, writing functional specifications, process and use case modeling, and data mapping.

Proficient in translating requirements into technical specifications.

Ability to analyze data problems and propose solutions.
