ROLE

As our Billing & Collections Lead, you will partner with our Operations team to deliver a first class experience to our clients. You will help women navigate their healthcare journeys by coordinating their benefits and ensuring the administrative requirements for their care are addressed. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role works closely with and manages the Billing & Collections team to maintain efficient and accurate financial operations. This role is fast-paced and provides an exciting opportunity to learn and develop alongside a growing company with big ambitions. This is a permanently remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will manage the current Billing & Collections team and create best practices and workflows with the support of Operations.
You will verify patients’ benefits and track prescriptions and authorizations, requesting new ones as needed to ensure patients’ care remains uninterrupted and compliant with their insurance plan.
You will be responsible for monitoring patients’ accounts, sending out patient statements, processing payments and refunds, and presenting reporting on collections activity on a recurring basis.
You will field patient questions regarding benefits and financial responsibility and coordinate with the Billing & Collections team to resolve any concerns.
You will partner with the Operations team and third party billing provider to troubleshoot administrative requests and other issues from insurance carriers, including claim denials.
You will maintain organized records of your communications with insurance carriers and patients.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
1 – 2 years of managerial experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
Ability to think critically, understand nuance, and problem solve on the fly
Technology proficiency and a comfort level multitasking with multiple computer systems
Ability to analyze detailed collections curve in Excel
Proven experience with healthcare, medical insurance and collections required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Proven experience delivering high touch customer service; professional phone and video presence, comfortable speaking with various clients and team members
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information + HIPAA
