Role Summary: As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be the backbone of the care delivery system.

You will see patients virtually and deliver comprehensive and integrative care spanning across gynecology and primary care services: from virtual annual visits to birth control consults to flu/cold consults. Further, you will remotely triage, diagnose, and treat patients via our proprietary chat software. The ideal candidate is excited about working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with change, and passionate about improving the delivery of healthcare for women.

In the clinic, the reconceived well woman exam will be the core of our service line, and you’ll apply your clinical expertise related to the full spectrum of providing gynecological services at Tia, from birth control consults to IUD insertions to colposcopies.

You will be integral to the formation and iteration of our technology development cycles. In addition to your clinical role, you’ll have an opportunity to shape the much needed technology in women’s healthcare. You’ll collaborate with our product & engineering teams to share insights and feedback.

Skills:

  • Taking history and physical
  • Create a comprehensive and coherent care plan
  • Interpret and act on clinical labs + ultrasounds
  • Perform Tia reimagined WWE exam
  • Pertinent and specific understanding of primary care delivery and / or willingness to learn on the fly
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies
  • Understanding and passion for providing integrative care

  • You are able to work from home, then transition into our SF clinic
  • You have no restrictions on your license
  • You’re willing to work nights or weekends, as needed
  • You’re authorized to work in the US
  • You’ll maintain licensure and appropriate re-certifications

Responsibilities URL:

  • Conduct patient visits in the Tia Virtual Clinic while upholding Tia’s care philosophy
      • Cover all baseline care “bases”:  effectively communicating with patients pre or post appointment as needed, execute on patient follow ups and close loop seamlessly and in time-effective manner, conduct lab review as is required / indicated for each patient
  • Women’s health & primary care: conduct visits for all visits that patients are able to book virtually, including the Tia Well Woman, birth control consults, UTIs, etc.
  • Integrative care: Understand and practice under multiple tools in the toolkit approach, including integrative care.
  • Drive high patient satisfaction: Ensure high patient satisfaction with regard for the highest clinical quality. Strives to ensure that patients are happy with their care, and strives to ensure that no patient leaves unsatisfied.
  • Show up for shifts, be flexible to changing schedule demands including mornings, evenings, weekends and shifting between four 10’s and five 8’s
  • Asynchronous patient management 
      • Triage patient: Triage patients via proprietary chat tool
      • Treat patients: Diagnose & treat patients, when appropriate, via chat
      • Timely responses: Hit agreed-upon turnaround times for response times
  • Partner with clinical team to deliver excellent care 
      • On call: Take call duty and escalate calls as necessary
      • Escalating: Escalating clinical concerns to Medical Director when necessary
      • Patient care: Work collaboratively with broader care team (gyn/pcp, behavioral health, acupuncture, etc) to provide seamless care to patients
  • Remain abreast of evolving research and clinical updates in women’s care

Responsibilities IRL:

  • Uphold the Tia mission statement & guiding principles of excellent, available, compassionate and holistic medical care
      • Cover all baseline care “bases” — effectively communicating with patients pre or post appointment as needed, execute on patient follow ups and close loop seamlessly and in time-effective manner, conduct lab review as is required / indicated for each patient
      • Take call duty and escalate calls as discussed and assigned by Medical Director or overseeing Physician
      • Ensure high patient satisfaction but with a regard for the highest clinical quality
      • Practice holistic care
      • Understand and practice under a multiple tools in the toolkit approach
      • Use the Tia tools to deliver patient care in the ways that you are trained to do so
      • Show up for shifts, be flexible to changing schedule demands including mornings, evenings, weekends and shifting between four 10’s and five 8’s
    • Escalating clinical concerns to Clinical Leadership: Lead Nurse Practitioner, Medical Director and/or VP of Clinical Operations when necessary 
      • Don’t be afraid to escalate or seek guidance on medical concerns
      • Ensure that when gaps or questions arise, they are communicated and followed up on through the appropriate channels
  • Act as the eyes and ears in the clinic 
      • Ensure that comrades are practicing at Tia standards
      • Ensure that established procedures and processes are being followed
      • Ensure that issues relating to patient care, process or training are elevated to the appropriate people
      • Strives to ensure that patients are happy with their care, and strives to ensure that no patient leaves unsatisfied
  • Remain abreast of evolving research and clinical updates in women’s care
