Reporting to the VP of Business Strategy and Operations, the Director of IT will be a key cross-functional member of the organization, charged with the strategy, maintenance and security of our business systems. Broad based knowledge across the IT landscape, including a background in data privacy (HIPAA, GDPR), a focus on customer satisfaction, experience with people management and the ability to work independently are key success criteria for the role. What you’ll do: 

  • Manage and drive strategy for IT and business information systems across Willow, including cloud, network, server, PC, and phone service design, planning, acquisition, setup, security, and maintenance
  • Ensure Data Security compliance — perform an IT security risk assessment and develop a roadmap to minimize threats to company architecture, systems and software; monitor security vulnerabilities
  • Ensure Data Privacy compliance, including conformance with GDPR and HIPAA requirements
  • Oversee identify and access management
  • Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity and resiliency plans are in place and routinely tested
  • Set strategy and policies for IT helpdesk support. Oversee and provide a stable, secure and reliable computing environment with timely support
  • Manage new employee onboarding and offboarding procedures from a technical set-up perspective
  • Document and protect IT architecture and systems. Partner with leaders across the business to identify and execute on opportunity for process and systems improvements and efficiencies
  • Lead business systems migrations, integrations and network hardware installations
  • Act as a player coach: You’ll roll up your sleeves, but also manage a team of third party IT providers

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of proven and progressive experience in the IT field. An in-depth understanding of computer software, hardware and networks and the ability to organize, monitor, update, modify, maintain and support them
  • Robust experience working across the landscape of IT from helpdesk to security to migrations and systems implementations
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Detailed understanding of HIPAA/GDPR/CCPA requirements and experiencing with enhancing data privacy protections (previous experience working in medical devices preferred, but not required)
  • Expertise in data security and business resiliency planning
  • Experiencing managing help desks and improving SLAs while controlling costs
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, Google GSuite, Microsoft Office 365, and web servers
  • Strong customer service mindset and cross functional collaboration with stakeholders across all levels and functions of the organization
  • Experience with retail channel distribution and system integrations. EDI knowledge preferred
  • Strong project management, team management and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present to and engage with Senior/Executive management
  • Bachelor’s degree in information system management, information technology or related fields preferred, but not required
